Takata Airbag Defective Product Recall Could Affect 25% of All Autos on the Road
The average consumer never thinks much about the airbags in their car but when that rare accident does strike we fully expect them to work properly. But it has been discovered that many airbags on the road today could possibly do more harm to an car accident victim in Sacramento then the accident alone.
In the event of an auto accident airbags are designed to deploy quickly providing an inflated cushion to soften the blow of impact during a car accident. To inflate the air quickly it requires a small explosive device to be set up filling the airbag quickly before an accident victim hits the steering wheel. The Takata airbag recall has identified a product defect where small metal objects are sent into the accident victims body during this small explosion. Auto accident victims should not be injured by the very safety device that is suppose to help them avoid injury.
Tiemann Law Firm are closely following the Takata Airbag Recall and are warning consumers about the dangers of this airbag. It is estimated that almost 35 million autos are affected by the airbag recall which accounts for 25% of the vehicles on the road. This defective airbag product has caused 6 deaths and over 110 injuries. We urge you to check your vehicle airbag by going to safercar.gov and entering your vehicle identification number to see if it is safe.
