Fox40 is reporting that the identity of the young woman killed in a hit-and-run accident has now been identified. Twenty-six-year-old Elise Eastman lost her life as the victim of a tragic hit-and-run collision in the 7200 block of Gloria Drive. She was transported to the hospital after the crash where she fell into a coma and died the next morning. Friends and family describe Elise as “amazing” and a leader who excelled in whatever she did. Our deepest condolences go out to Elise’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
Sacramento Police are still searching for the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle. They believe the driver pulled out of an apartment complex and collided with Elise as she travelled northbound on Gloria Drive on her motorcycle. The police are searching for a late model silver Honda or Hyundai. The vehicle likely has damage to the driver’s side door.

Hit-And-Run Accidents Cause An Enormous Level Of Damage
Even when the accident victim is not killed in a hit-and-run crash, the damages sustained by the hit-and-run victim can still be substantially high. Victims, and their families, suffer damages from hit-and-run accidents including, but not limited to:
- Financial Damages – The financial damages in a hit-and-run accident can quickly add into the thousands of dollars. Medical bills, lost wages, property damage, and other out-of-pocket expenses can be devastating for a family.
- Funeral Expenses – Funeral, burial, and cremation expenses are also financial losses; however, many people do not have insurance to cover these expenses. An accident victim may have disability insurance and health insurance to help with healthcare costs and lost wages; however, funeral expenses may not be covered by an insurance policy. Some funerals can cost as much at $10,000 for $15,000 for the family.
- Ongoing Expenses – If the victim suffered permanent disabilities, he or she may require long-term medical and/or personal care. This can be quite expensive over the person’s life. Furthermore, the person may not be able to earn income thereby adding to financial problems.
- Pain and Suffering Damages – The physical pain, emotional suffering, and mental anguish can be overwhelming and debilitating after a hit-and-run crash. In addition to compensation for pain and suffering, the victim may also be entitled to receive compensation for permanent disabilities, scarring, and disfigurement.
Each collision is different and unique. You and your family may be entitled to receive additional compensation. Our Sacramento hit-and-run accident attorneys can provide more information during a free legal consultation.
