A man was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center after he collided with a truck on his bicycle on Wednesday morning in Sacramento. The bicycle vs truck accident happened around 7:00 a.m. at Howe Avenue and Swarthmore Drive. Howe Avenue was closed for multiple hours in order for police to investigate the accident.
According to witnesses at the scene of the accident, the bicyclist, in his mid-20s, rode into the intersection before being hit by the truck. Although the driver of the truck was interviewed at the scene about the accident, police say it appears he did nothing illegal. Who ultimately caused the accident and thus the resulting injuries is still unclear, as the investigation is still proceeding forward.
